The Highland-Worldwide Group of Companies Ltd. and its subsidiaries need to obtain certain personal information (i.e. names, addresses, contact information, etc.) as well as personal documents (i.e. passports, visas, customs paperwork, etc.) when preparing moving proposals, monitoring/performing relocations and during repair/settlement of cargo claims. The Highland-Worldwide Group of Companies Ltd. and its subsidiaries will also use personal information for services directly related to your move which are contracted out to a third party (i.e. appliance service/car hauling). All third party service providers are given only information that is needed for them to complete the service they are contracted to perform and are required to comply with our Privacy Policy. We will also use information as needed should you wish to participate in any of our “value added” services and for follow-up contacts.

All personal information collected is processed and stored in a secure and confidential database and is shared only on a “need to know” basis. Data is kept for a minimum of 5 years before securely being disposed of. The Highland-Worldwide Group of Companies Ltd. uses security measures such as firewalls, antivirus software, individual logins and passwords, along with secured offices and warehouses to protect against unauthorized access to the data.

Our web-site collects no personal information other than when an individual elects to use our “on-line Moving Estimate Request Form”. If you elect to use that service, we will assume your implied consent to make that information available for the purposes listed within our Privacy Policy.

You have the right to request that your personal information not be used for any of the aforementioned purposes and you may at any time, inquire what information we currently do have. We strive to ensure that all personal information is kept up to date and accurate. Should there be any changes to your personal information, please promptly notify your move coordinator.

All employees and service providers are required to comply with the Privacy Policy as outlined and any breaches should be immediately notified to the management team for review and correction if necessary.
